My Road Away Program

In partnership with the Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region, the My Road Away Fund provides resources to remove barriers for domestic abuse survivors as they are pursuing, or so they can pursue, education in order to break free and remain free of abuse. Often victims stay in or return to an abusive situation because they do not have the financial resources or accesses to financial resources. LEAVEN may be able to help with rent, utilities, transportation, childcare, or other expenses that would prevent survivors from starting or staying in school. By providing these resources, victims can have more and better choices about their futures.

The ultimate goal is to ensure the health, safety, and economic security of domestic abuse survivors by creating a pathway to independence and self-sufficiency through education.
